Project Description:

Stripout London was appointed as the principal contractor for a detailed office dilapidations project for Generation Home, a mortgage company located at Exmouth House in Clerkenwell, London. This project involved extensive strip out and refurbishment work in an occupied office building, requiring meticulous planning, coordination, and execution to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing business operations.

 

Key Activities:

  1. Initial Assessment and Planning:

    • Conducted a comprehensive site survey to assess the scope of work and identify potential hazards.

    • Developed a detailed project plan and timeline in collaboration with the client and the landlord to ensure compliance with all requirements and minimize disruption to the office's daily operations.

  2. Health and Safety Protocols:

    • Wall Linings and Booths: Removed all non-structural wall linings and booths, preparing the space for refurbishment.

    • Floor Finishes: Removed various floor finishes, preparing the floors for new installations.

  5. Repairs and Reinstatement:

    • Conducted extensive repairs and reinstatement works as per the landlord's requirements, including plastering, painting, and decorating.

    • Reinstated floor finishes, ensuring they matched the original specifications and provided a high-quality finish.

    • Repaired and redecorated WCs, ensuring they met the landlord’s standards and were fully operational.

    • Repaired and repainted ceilings and walls, ensuring a consistent and professional finish throughout the office space.

  6. Coordination and Communication:

    • Maintained continuous communication with Generation Home, the landlord, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress.

    • Coordinated with other contractors and trades to ensure seamless integration of activities and avoid any disruptions to the office’s operations.

    • Scheduled work primarily during off-peak hours and weekends to minimize impact on the office’s business and its employees.

  7. Quality Assurance and Handover:

    • Conducted thorough inspections at each stage of the project to ensure all works were completed to the highest standards of quality.

    • Provided detailed documentation and reports to the client and the landlord, outlining the work carried out and ensuring all requirements were met.
